CHICAGO, IL– The Chicago-based design group Object Society is pleased to announce their 10th anniversary exhibition, which will kick off on Monday, June 10, 2019 with a opening party from 5:30–10pm. Object Society members will show their designs ranging from furniture and lighting to home decor and rugs on both floors of Montauk Sofa’s beautiful Fulton Market showroom. At 6pm, there will be a 45-minute panel discussion entitled “Making (it) in the Midwest.” During the panel, Object Society members Craighton Berman of Manual by Craighton Berman , Dee Clements of Studio Herron , Gina Dorough , Michael Dreeben of AKMD , Steven Haulenbeek , and Zak Rose will discuss contemporary design and how it relates to Chicago and the international design community at large. The exhibition will run concurrent with NeoCon and will be open through Friday, June 21, 2019.
Object Society, now in its 10th year, is a group of designers, architects, and makers working at the forefront of Midwest design. Manipulating a wide variety of mediums from wood and metal to leather and ceramics, each member is dedicated to approaching interior and product design in a thoughtful and inventive way.
